Venice Week III
Our second and final week of showing at Fox Lea Farms was a wonderful way to wrap up our time at this beautiful venue. Over the past three weeks, the Red Oak Farm team has enjoyed the sunshine, great competition, and the opportunity for our riders and horses to gain valuable experience in the ring. After getting settled, the riders and their pair’s came back to the show ring feeling confident and ready to go!
Darian Petillo and her horses closed out their time at Venice with top ribbons. Her and Unlimited picked up a first, second, and third place in the 3’3 Small Junior Hunters with Say it Right earning top five finishes as well. Her and Chronicle 4 jumped to seventh place in both the 1.0m Junior/Amateur Jumpers Speed class and the $1,500 1.05m Junior/Amateur Jumper Classic.
Roshni Desai riding Caracas 113 and River Street had a great week as well. Her and River Street put in some great rounds in the USHJA 2’6 Hunters earning a second in one of their over fence classes. She jumped to champion aboard Caracas 113 in the Adult Equitation, also winning blue in the Ariat Adult Medal. The duo took home ninth place in the $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby.
Not only did Neeve Canniffe have a great week of showing, she also celebrated a birthday! We enjoyed celebrating her both in and out of the ring. She put down clear rounds throughout the week with Candito and jumped to first place in the $1,000 0.85m Coquina Classic. She also put down great rounds on Alexander Hamilton earning a second and two thirds in the 12-17 Equitation.
Kayla Wilson and Dowdstown Captain had a successful last week in the 1.20m Jumpers and the $7,500 1.25m Prix putting down some great rounds! The pair earning third place in the Jumper Classic Series to end the week off!
After a great few weeks in Venice, the Red Oak Farm team is now heading to Ocala to continue the season at the World Equestrian Center. We’re excited to carry the momentum forward and are looking forward to the opportunities ahead.
