WEC Week XI
Week 11 was an exciting week for the Red Oak Team.
Marni Bogdanoff and her Galileo had a winning week! The pair were first and fourth over fences and earned third in the flat in the 12-14 Equitation to secure the division championship. They also earned seventh in the Taylor Harris.
Neeve Canniffe and her Alexander Hamilton put down some beautiful trips in the Children’s Hunter 14 & Under. The pair earned two fourth places and a seventh. They were also very successful in the $1,500 NAL/WIHS 14 & under Children’s Hunter Classic earning eleventh. Her and Candito put down clear rounds in the jumper ring earning fourth in the .90 Novice Junior Jumpers and eighth in the .95m Novice Junior Classic.
Darian Petillo had an impressive showing across all rings with her horses. In the equitation, she and Coltrane earned fourth in the 3’3” Hunter Seat Medal and delivered beautiful trips in the Jumping Seat, NCEA, and NHS medals. In the jumper ring, she and Chronicle 4 placed seventh in the 1.10m NAL/WIHS Junior Classic. She also put in a lovely round in the USHJA National Hunter Derby aboard Unlimited. In the Small Junior Hunters 16–17, Darian and Unlimited earned two fourth-place finishes and a sixth in the handy, while she and Say It Right picked up a fifth, a sixth, another fifth in the handy, and an eighth-place finish in the under saddle.
Sasha Rieber and Zirocco got seventh in the .80 Junior/Amateur Jumpers and took away another seventh in the Classic round.
Roshni Desai and Caracas 113 had great rounds in the equitation this week. The pair earned third in the Taylor Harris with a score of 85, got third in the USHA 3’3 Jumping Seat Medal their first time out, and took away fourth in the Ariat Adult Medal. Her River Street finished with another champion in the Low Adult Equitation winning over fences and on the flat. “Rio” is proudly offered for sale or lease.
Ella Petillo and her El Niño jumped clear rounds this week to be first and third for the Championship honors in the .70m Junior/Amateur Jumpers. The pair also earned fourth in the .70m Junior/Amateur Classic.
We’re so proud of our team this week and are looking forward to our last week here in Ocala.
